Dan Rubin • Board Member
Daniel I. Rubin has been a Partner with Alloy Ventures since 1999. In 1991 he was a co-founder of Artisan Components and the initial VP of Sales and Marketing. He was the VP of Business Development through their initial public offering in 1998. Prior to Artisan Components Mr. Rubin worked at Ultratech Stepper in many roles including Director of Product Marketing and Managing Director of Asian Operations. Mr. Rubin is a director of CiraNova, Ensenda, Molecular Imprints, Nexsil and Gradient, and a board observer at Ellie Mae and Integrated Materials, Inc. He received a BA in Physics from Pomona College (1982).
Huoy-Ming Yeh • Board Member
Prior to co-founding PacRim Venture Partners, Huoy-Ming Yeh worked as investment consultant at Technology Funding, where she focused on deal sourcing, due diligence and deal management. Before that Ms. Yeh spent two years at Lehman Brothers where she performed analysis on business plans, conducted in-depth due diligence and completed M&A and public offerings for venture stage companies. Previously, she worked for seven years as a microprocessor design engineer for Sun Microsystems, Amdahl and Prime Computer. At Sun, she was the co-architect of the multiple instruction dispatch unit on the UltraSPARC I processor, earning three patents. Ms. Yeh holds a B.A. in Physics from Wellesley College, a MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.
Jeff Lewis • Board Member
Jeff Lewis is currently Vice President of Marketing at Innovative Silicon (ISi), a semiconductor IP company developing ultra-dense Z-RAM™ embedded memory technology. Mr. Lewis brings over 20 years of experience in the IP and EDA industries. Prior to ISi, Mr. Lewis was President and CEO of CiraNova, Inc. an analog EDA company. Prior to CiraNova, Mr. Lewis held VP-level positions at FormFactor, Artisan Components (acquired by ARM), and Compass Design/VLSI Technology. Mr. Lewis has BSEE, BA-Economics, and MBA degrees - all with Honors - from the University of California at Berkeley.
Peter Herz • Board Member
J. Peter Herz was appointed to the IPextreme board in March 2004. Mr. Herz's career spans 20 years primarily in the Storage, EDA and semiconductor industries. Mr. Herz served in several positions including founding CEO at storage provided 3ware, Inc. (acquired by AMCC in April 2004). Prior to 3Ware, Mr. Herz served in many EDA companies including HHB Systems (acquired by Racal Redac) followed by senior roles at Compiled Designs (acquired by Synopsys), Synopsys and Siemens Semiconductor (now Infineon). Mr. Herz holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University.
Warren Savage • Board Member
Prior to founding IPextreme, Mr. Savage created and ran the Star IP Program at Synopsys, where he provided an IP brokering function for major semiconductor companies. Prior to that, Mr. Savage was head of the Synopsys DesignWare engineering organization, where he introduced many design practices and quality measures, which eventually became part of the Reuse Methodology Manual, a seminal book on Intellectual Property design. From 1982-1995 he worked for Tandem Computers, and there developed an interest in advanced design methodologies around high reliability design. Mr. Savage began his career at Fairchild Semiconductor developing semiconductor test equipment. Mr. Savage is a well-known and published authority in the field of semiconductor intellectual property. Mr. Savage has a BS in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
