Joy Leo • Advisory Board Member

Joy E. Leo has served on our technical advisory board since September 2005. Ms. Leo has more than twenty years of financial management experience with high technology companies. Most recently, Ms. Leo has served as advisor and consultants for various high technology companies; she was senior vice president of finance and administration for CoWare, chief financial officer and secretary for Artisan Components, Inc., now known as ARM Holdings PLC. Ms. Leo also served as vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer for IMP, Inc.; vice president of finance, operations and administration at Innomedia Incorporated; and vice president and chief financial officer for Philips Components, a multi-billion dollar division of Royal Philips Electronics N.V.


Yu (Duke) Hirano

Yu (Duke) Hirano • Advisory Board Member

Yu Duke Hirano has over 30 years experience in the field of EDA and semiconductors. For the past 5 years, he has been serving as a Consultant/Advisor for promising EDA/IP firms venturing into the Japan market. He was formerly the founding President and later Chairman of Nihon Synopsys Co., Ltd. He has also held various engineering/marketing and senior management positions at Fujitsu Semiconductor Group. He has a B.S. in Applied Physics from Waseda University.


Jens Kjelsbak

Jens Kjelsbak • Advisory Board Member

Jens Kjelsbak is most widely known for being General Manager of the MIPS Technologies R&D Centre in Denmark, where he managed a large team to deliver one of MIPS' most successful microprocessor designs. Previously Mr. Kjelsbak was the Development Centre Manager for LSI Logic Denmark. He also assisted Synopsys on IP and related design services and led the team implementing advanced parallel computing chips at Synergetic Computer Systems. With significant papers, presentations and keynote addresses also to his credit, Mr. Kjelsbak is a well regarded visionary and industry spokesperson. Jens has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Århus Teknikum, Denmark.


Bettina Briz

BETTINA bRIZ • Advisory Board Member

Bettina Briz has served on our technical advisory board since April 2006. Ms. Briz has more than twenty years of executive management experience in the semiconductor & manufacturing industries. Most recently, Ms. Briz led business development initiatives for Flextronics's Printing & Imaging division, a $3B division for Flextronics. Bettina has served as advisor and consultant to many technology start-ups including Summit Microelectronics, Elantec (acquired by Intersil Corporation), Portal Wave (acquired by Kinzan). Bettina was also a Senior Director at National Semiconductor, leading their Imaging, Displays & Custom LSI Divisions. Bettina also served as Vice President of Marketing for TriTech Microelectronics and NPL. Bettina is currently on the board of the Boston University College of Engineering. Bettina holds a B.S. degree in Biophysics from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.S.E.E from Boston University.
